I’ve had my fair share of mental health ups and downs. From anxiety and depression to eating disorders and ocd I know how it feels to struggle with things out of your control. I also know what it is, with help, to overcome those very low moments. Not everyone deals with mental illness, but everyone deals with mental health. I’m doing my best to take care of myself - if you are reading this I hope you are too. Please know you are not alone and there is hope ♡
Here are some resources I’ve personally researched and/or worked with that might be helpful if you’re having a hard time:
** If you or someone you know are in a crisis please use the Crisis Text Line or National Suicide Prevention Line:
Crisis Text Line is a 24/7 crisis counseling support line. Text HOME to 741741 for free, 24/7 crisis counseling
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number (1-800-273-TALK) is a free and confidential lifeline. A skilled, trained crisis worker who works at the Lifeline network crisis center closest to you will answer the phone and talk you through whatever you’re dealing with. 1-800-273-8255 available 24/7 across the United States
Mental Health Information and Resources:
#ICANHELP is an organization I have been an ambassador for for the past few years. This is a great non-profit that is aiming to delete negativity online.
HOPE FOR THE DAY is a nonprofit who’s moto is “it’s ok not to be ok”. HFTD is working to break the silence and stigma around mental health.
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) is not only an educational source for mental health, but they also offer free counseling through their helpline Monday through Friday, 10 am–8 pm, ET. Call 1-800-950-NAMI (6264) or email info@nami.org
NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) is an online resource for information on mental health. This website even has info on 5 action steps for helping someone in emotional pain.
Help IS there. If you are in a crisis, please use the Crisis Text Line or National Suicide Prevention Line.
